Liverpool fan puts Raheem Sterling for sale on eBay

At least we assume it’s a Liverpool fan who posted this ad.

Could it be Raheem Sterling himself?

Think about it, the 20 year old forward has refused a new contract, blamed manager Brendan Rodgers on a breakdown in relations with the club and has called in sick twice already this week.

He also doesn’t want to be included on the club’s tour of the Far East and it appears only a matter of time that Sterling gets his wish and leaves Liverpool.

Is it possible that he’s become so desperate to leave that he’d put himself on ebay?

We’re going to say no, judging by the tongue-in-cheek tone of this ad posted today.

Sterling is listed for £50 million, and the seller says the player’s desire to move is not about money. Definitely not about money.

So there you go City, get your credit card ready and click to buy a ‘only slightly used’ Sterling.

What do you think of the deal Brendan?

Meanwhile, we may have found the worst excuse ever offered for player wanting a transfer.

The Liverpool Echo published a feature tonight, detailing the different reasons Sterling, and his agent Aidy Ward, have offered as to why the player wants to leave the club.

From wanting to win trophies, to being played out of position, to the Liverpool manager standing too close to Sterling.

That’s right, Sterling’s camp have reportedly said Rodgers has been deliberately standing next to the player during training sessions, so photographers would get shots of them together. Therefore quashing rumours of a rift between the pair.

An excuse right up there with ‘my dog ate my homework’.
