Ah for god’s sake.
Whatever about Jurgen Klopp’s patience with Daniel Sturridge, surely Liverpool fans will be pulling what little wisps of hair they have left out of their scalp with this evening’s reports of yet another injury for the England forward.
The ex-Chelsea man made a stirring comeback last week, scoring twice in the 6-1 win over Southampton, while he disappointed in Sunday’s 2-0 reversal to Newcastle as a second half substitute.
Liverpool’s manager has questioned the striker’s mentality in recent weeks before he made his return to the starting XI, but according to reports this evening, the striker is facing yet another spell on the sidelines.
The Daily Express is reporting that Sturridge suffered an injury to his hamstring in Sunday’s loss and is now facing yet another lay off from first-team action.
If the injury is confirmed, it could mean that the England man will miss the Christmas period for the Anfield side, with Klopp likely to invest in another striker in January, with Christian Benteke also suffering from a loss of form and injury.
The fans reaction is as typical as you’d expect
Daniel Sturridge should be studied for science to see how the hell hes made it to the age of 26.
