Barcelona legend Xavi thinks that a pair of hot prospects from Liverpool and Everton would slot right into the Barca team.

Xavi knows a thing or two about what makes a good midfielder. The Barca stalwart held down a regular first team spot in one of the greatest midfields in soccer (both at club level and internationally) for over a decade. A pair of Premier League wonderkids has caught the Catalans eye.

Xavi reckons that both Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling would fit into the Barcelona team with ease.

Yes, why not? I think that they could. They have incredible physical capabilities and they are good technically.

In Spain, we prioritise players who are technically gifted but both things [physicality and technique] are very important in football.

With Sterling currently in the midst of a contract negotiation with Liverpool, perhaps we could see the English starlet make a move to the Nou Camp in the near future.
