The Liam Miller tribute match takes place tomorrow.
The former Celtic, Manchester United and Ireland midfielder was just 36 when he lost his fight with pancreatic cancer back in February.
To celebrate his memory, some of his former teammates will take part in a match that will raise funds for the Liam Miller fund. The money raised will help Miller’s family and charities in Cork, his hometown.

Where is it on and when?
The tribute match will take place at Pairc Ui Chaoimh in Cork on Tuesday, September 25.
The game kicks off at 3 pm.
Is it on television?
Yes, the game will be broadcast live on Virgin Media Three. So, it will be free-to-air.
There will also be highlights of the match on Virgin Media One at 10 pm.
Proceeds from the broadcast of the match, including all advertising and sponsorship revenues, will go to the Liam Miller Fund.

Who will take part in the match?
A Manchester United legends team will play against a side containing Ireland and Celtic legends. Martin O’Neill will manage the Ireland/Celtic team.
Alex Ferguson’s former assistant Mike Phelan will assist Roy Keane on the United side.

The game is a complete sell-out. There have been 45,000 tickets sold.

You can buy a non-attendance ticket from Support Liam Miller. For €5 – plus €2 postage and packaging – you will get an official matchday brochure and a commemorative e-ticket. You will also have the chance to win a jersey signed by both teams.
