Leicester’s miracle run to the top of the Premier League has seen them reach the two-thirds mark of the season with a five-point lead, but in the unlikely event they needed any more motivation ahead of the their latest challenge against Arsenal today, the club’s Thai owners have pulled another rabbit out their hats.
Claudio Ranieri has been rewarding his Foxes players throughout the season, from pizzas for clean sheets to permission for a midseason fancy-dress booze-up in Copenhagen.
Now, though, the club have raised the stakes by putting an all-expenses trip to Las Vegas on the table if Leicester can complete the fairytale and bring the title to the King Power Stadium.
Not only that, The Sun reports that players will share in £1million spending money for the trip, or roughly £40,000 (€52,000) a man.
The offer was made after it was discovered that players did not have title-winning bonuses in their contracts, so fanciful was the notion that Leicester would be in position to compete.
