What are you carving into your pumpkin this Halloween? A classic jack-o-lantern design? Your favourite character from a horror film? Jamie Vardy?
That’s right. It turns out England and Leicester City striker Vardy has his likeness on at least one pumpkin this year, as does teammate Riyad Mahrez and manager Claudio Ranieri.
It’s all down to Foxes superfan Matthew Derry, from the United States, who has paid tribute to the reigning Premier League champions in a unique way.
Who's ready for Halloween? #LCFC fan Matthew Derry is. Here's his pumpkin for this year…https://t.co/vVDMWObAHe pic.twitter.com/L0ZhHlYgG8

“I carved my pumpkin in honour of the greatest manager and some of the greatest players.I enjoyed last season so much, it was incredible,” 17-year-old Derry is quoted as saying by the Leicester Mercury.
“My parents were kind of impressed with it and I sent a picture of it to my brother. I put a flashlight inside and it is brighter where I’ve carved deeper.”
The teenager, who said he “wanted to do something different” for Halloween this year, told the paper that he spent four hours on his creations.
While the Vardy and Mahrez carvings are brilliant tributes to Leicester’s two Ballon d’Or nominees (yes, it does feel weird to type that), the Ranieri one is truly magical.
We’ve heard fairytales about turning a pumpkin into a coach, but never the other way round.
