Turns out it wasn’t so friendly
Several Leeds United fans and those of Eintracht Frankfurt are spending the night in police custody after a near-riot broke out at the end of a friendly game between the two clubs this evening.
The match in Austria ended 2-1 to the German outfit, but at full time fans were more interested in beating seven shades out of each other than shaking hands and moving onto the next pre-season warm-up game.
There was no players on the pitch at the time, but various reports suggest the majority of those involved were Leeds fans who were allegedly incensed after a club flag was torn up by some German fans.
