Nobody puts Seamie in the corner.
The form of Seamus Coleman is indisputable right now even if some Everton fans would play down his value – it’s a decent tactic considering everyone else would gobble him up and they all look like they’re preparing their forks.
At 28 years of age, the Donegal man seems for all the world to have perfected his game. At the back, he’s as strong and as tight as they come and his raids down the right wing need no further acclaim.
Dare say it, the Irish captain has developed into the complete full back and his passion and leadership have only gone and taken him onto a whole new level.

So comparisons won’t be accepted with a more flashy and inconsistent counterpart.
On Football Friday Live, Dion Fanning said Seamus Coleman would “definitely” make the Liverpool team when one of the viewers contacted to ask who from Everton could make the switch to the red half of the city and take a place on the starting 11.
Ledley King raised an eyebrow though.
– “Seamus Coleman would definitely get into that side,” Fanning said.
– “I’m not sure, Coleman ahead of Clyne?” King questioned.
– “Yeah,” Dion was leaving little room for debate.
– “Yeah?”
– “Yeah.”
The Irishman was having none of the objections. The Englishman still wasn’t sure.
Ledley looks to have accepted it first up.
Then, he thinks some more.
He can bite his lip any longer.
Now he just looks appalled.
So he begins his questioning.
But Dion is short and sure.
And unapologetic.
Hello darkness, my old friend.
It’s worth a watch. And it’s bang on.
