Leaked photos confirm Juventus’ move away from tradition with new kit

Leaked pictures of Juventus' kit for next season confirm the rumours that they will stray from tradition and wear a kit without the usual stripes

Reuben Pinder

I have mixed feelings about this

Generally, I consider myself a progressive person, open to change. In the words of Tormund from Game of Thrones, ‘fuck tradition’. Although, there are some things that should never be changed: the area in which a football club plays their home matches, the back pass rule, and the pattern of a team’s shirt.

If a manufacturer wants to bring in a sash one year just to do something new, fine. I like a sash. But teams who traditionally wear stripes should always wear stripes. That’s one of the things I don’t think should ever change. You might disagree, and that’s fine. It’s a game of opinions after all.

But Juventus are ditching their stripes, and I for one am not happy about it.

Not only are they moving away from their traditional stripes, adidas have also introduced a rogue, red line down the middle of the jersey for no apparent reason.

This is the kit that Juventus will wear next season.

Tell me you like that, go on. You can’t. Because it’s rubbish.

Anyway, it doesn’t really matter in the long run. Juve have just celebrated their eighth consecutive league title. Shame about the Champions League though.
