The new feature is certainly eye-catching

It’s that time of year again, when next season’s football kits are being leaked and promptly released, before the current season has even finished. The great folk at footyheadlines.com recently published pictures of Real Madrid’s kit that will feature a grandad collar, images revealing that Chelsea’s new away kit will be yellow, and they’re back with another bang.

Images of Chelsea’s home kit for the 2018/19 season have been leaked, and the new feature will certainly be turning some heads. The blue home shirt is seasoned with thin red and white horizontal lines and it’s an absolute beauty.

They don’t interfere with the dominant blue, which would certainly have been a step too far, but they add a modern, exciting touch.

Those who found this season’s kit too plain will surely be pleased by this new feature.

The red might spark some controversy, but it’s not the first time they’ve added a sprinkling of red to the jersey. As recently as 2010/11, their adidas kit had a red collar. That kit will be forever associated with the arrival of Fernando Torres and his 903-minute goal drought.

The shorts and socks will remain blue and white respectively and the new kit is due to be released at the end of May.
