The former Republic of Ireland striker retired in September.
Kevin Doyle has joined Wexford GAA’s U20 footballers in an advisory role.
U20 selector PJ Banville on Wednesday night announced the news via Twitter, revealing that Doyle had been added to the back-room team alongside Gavin Morris, who has joined as goalkeeping coach.

Doyle was forced to retire from soccer last September on medical grounds after suffering from repeated concussions. The 34-year-old Adamstown man enjoyed a fine career, which included stints at Reading, Wolves and Colorado Rapids in the MLS.
He made 63 appearances for Ireland, scoring 14 goals.
Doyle played Gaelic football with Adamstown GAA and Good Counsel in New Ross before making the commitment to soccer.
It’s an exciting move for the Model County and an interesting development for Doyle. Considering the unfortunate circumstances of his retirement, it’s great to see him back involved in sport. Here’s hoping this is the beginning of a long, successful career in the GAA.
