If we are going to beat Belgium at this year’s European Championship we don’t want there to be any excuses.
No bullshit about Edin Hazard having a bad season, or a dodgy offside, or that maybe one of their best players may be missing.
Kevn de Bruyne left the field in last night’s 3-1 win for Manchester City over Everton looking like he may have suffered a very serious knee injury, and some Irish fans watching seemingly all had a similar train of thought about this summer’s Euros.
Not to be unkind but the top end cruciate injury can take 9 months to recover from, right? RIGHT? #DeBruyne

Could be a big moment for Belgium's Euro 2016 chances with De Bruyne getting stretchered off

His absence would have been a big loss, but we’re happy to report, through gritted teeth, that one of the best players in the Premier League this season will be fit for this summer’s action in France.
His agent Patrick de Koster told Sky Sports News HQ that De Bruyne was feeling confident that he would be back playing soon “within weeks” after the knee and ankle injury.
A full update on his injury is expected to be announced around lunchtime but it seems that the Belgian will be back for the later part of the season, if not the League Cup final on February 28th against Liverpool.
