Juventus’ opening goal against Real Madrid broke a Champions League record for team passes

We have just one question though.

Tevez missed the initial shot, Casillas saved it, Morata tapped it in.

A fantastic build up, sure. But does it count as complete?

Accord to Opta, it does anyway.

Juventus laughed in the faces of those who dared to dismiss their Champions League credentials when they saw off the champions, Madrid, in their semi final first leg.

And they started off in style when Alvaro Morata finished off a deadly team move. One that was initially denied by the ‘keeper but we’ll not get into again.

They broke the record for the most passes in the build up to a goal in the Champions League this season.

And, despite Cristiano Ronaldo levelling and grabbing an away goal for Real, Tevez smacked home from a penalty to give the Italians the win.
