Jurgen Klopp clearly is on the same wavelength as Louis van Gaal.
Just like the Manchester United boss, the Liverpool manager sees the second tier Europa League as the best pathway to Champions League football next season, as does the Dutchman.
And Klopp’s team for the clash with Augsburg in Germany tonight is testament to that, as he has named the same starting XI that thrashed Aston Villa on Sunday last for tonight’s clash with the Bundesliga strugglers.
Confirmed #LFC side to face Augsburg: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Sakho, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Milner, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge.

Confirmed #LFC substitutes against Augsburg: Ward, Randall, Caulker, Lucas, Ibe, Origi, Benteke.

Klopp has tended to go with some youth in his teams for cup clashes in the past, but has held onto all his big guns for tonight’s game getting underway shortly.
It is actually the first time he has named an unchanged side since his arrival at Anfield in October.
Jurgen Klopp names unchanged @LFC side for first time in his reign – his 30th game believe it or not – with Daniel Sturridge up top.
