He’ll be hoping it gets easier than this.
Jurgen Klopp faced an unwelcome injury list as he picked his first Liverpool XI.
With Danny Ings, Christian Benteke, Joe Gomez, Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson and Dejan Lovren all packing out the physio room, the German was without several first team regulars.
Daniel Sturridge was a late addition to that list after he picked up yet another injury, this time a knee problem suffered in training, which means he wasn’t fit enough even to make the bench.
That leaves an awful lot of responsibility on the young shoulders of Divock Origi who has just a handful of games under his belt for the Reds.
It looks like a 4-2-3-1 formation from the German with Lucas and Emre Can offering protection to a back four of Nathaniel Clyne, Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakhou and Alberto Moreno with Simon Mignolet retaining his place between the sticks.
Origi is supported by the trio of James Milner, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho which is a similar shape that he employed with great success at Dortmund.

Liverpool’s bench wouldn’t fill you with confidence as it includes youngsters Connor Randall, Joao Teixeira and Jerome Sinclair.
