Brendan’s gone, and now so are two of his coaches.
Jurgen Klopp is a man who isn’t afraid to tell people exactly what he thinks. Or feels.
It is being widely reported, this afternoon, that the former Borussia Dortmund boss has agreed a three-year contract with the Merseysiders. He will be unveiled at Anfield on Friday.
It was suggested, earlier today, that the German would have to work with two of Brendan Rodgers coaches instead of his own choices at Anfield if, as expected, he is announced as the club’s new manager this afternoon.
Gary McAllister and Sean O’Driscoll did not depart along with Rodgers last Sunday, and there was speculation today that Klopp would have to incorporate both into his backroom staff rather than his preferred choice of Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz
The issue was believed to be a major stumbling block for Klopp, but it appears now that he will be able to bring in his own staff as both men are expected to be let go by Liverpool

But at least it’s good news for one of Rodgers old staff as highly respected coach Pepijn Linders will get to stay on.

McAllister is a Liverpool legend with some fans sympathetic to his plight of losing a job he took up just a few months ago.
Feel sorry for Gary McAllister, being sacked after four months

And other commentators less so.
Gary McAllister's stellar coaching career continues, I see.
