It's just over one year since Brendan Rodgers played an under-strength starting XI in the Bernabeu as Liverpool took on Real Madrid in the Champions League.
It seemed a baffling decision at the time and certainly Rodgers never fully regained the trust of certain sections of Liverpool's support.
Rubin Kazan are no Real Madrid but Jurgen Klopp is taking no chances with his starting XI for this evening's game.
Klopp has made four changes from the side that won so impressively at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Dejan Lovren, Joe Allen, Jordan Ibe and Christian Benteke replace Martin Skrtel, Lucas Leiva, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho.

Just as well for Klopp as it is a
six hour flight back to the UK from the capital of Tatarstan.
