Job done.
Two things happened at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon…
- Liverpool won 3-1 win away at Chelsea, an achievement all the more remarkable as they fell behind to a sloppy goal early on and have only scored more than one goal in a game on one other occasion this season.
- The victory was a Bishop Brennan-style kick up the arse to Jose Mourinho’s back as he seemingly heads towards the exit door at Chelsea.
Those two things combined make this the best day in quite a long time for Liverpool fans.

Or so you would think.
But Jurgen Klopp’s post-game comments suggest that there will be not self-congratulatory pats on the back at Melwood this week, no relentless quest to claim that everything is outstanding.
Klopp wants more than just a 3-1 win at Chelsea.
“We can do much better than today, much much, much better. We have to do better.
“But today we had a deserved win… let’s go home.”
After that, Klopp ruled out the frankly crazy talk that this win at Chelsea can spark a title challenge.
“Please? Are you crazy?” he said when asked. “I hope I don’t understand the question. I’ve been here three weeks.
“Everyone can win the league, but only one can and rest are under pressure to win it.
“You think after one game winning at Chelsea we can win the league?
“Yes, we played well, but we have many injuries, we have to keep going, we have a game on Thursday, then Sunday.”
"Are you crazy!?" Klopp's immediate reaction when asked about @LFC's title credentials. https://t.co/ItzxnMqanG
