The poor treatment of Victor Valdes by Louis van Gaal Matas to at least Juan man… apologies.
Manchester United star Juan Mata has expressed his disappointment at LVG after freezing Victor Valdes out of his plans at Old Trafford.
The former Barcelona shot-stopper is out of favour at the club after because LVG reportedly was unhappy about him refusing to play a reserve match.
Valdes was expected to leave Manchester this summer, and came close to signing for Besiktas. However, that move broke down towards the end of the summer transfer window meaning he will remain in Manchester until January, at least.
Van Gaal made it painfully clear that the keeper has no future at the club, by refusing to give him a squad number and leaving him out of the official club photo.
Mata, who’s played alongside Valdes told the Daily Mirror that what is happening to Valdes at the club is shameful. He acknowledged that there had been a breakdown between him and van Gaal, but did not clear up exactly how the relationship fell apart.
“It’s a shame what is happening with him as he is a great goalkeeper. He wants to compete and has proved himself as a goalkeeper. I don’t know what happened between him and Van Gaal. That is something only they can say.”
