That’ll do bus, that’ll do
We reckon Jose Mourinho will be really, really proud of his latest record. In fact, if he can just get it in trophy form, it’d probably find a place on his mantelpiece alongside his numerous pieces of silverware.
Following Chelsea’s 1-0 win over West Ham last week, Mourinho reached a century of Premier League clean sheets in the fastest time ever, achieving the feat in just 185 games. Impressive.
Alex Ferguson had previously held the record, reaching a century of shut-outs after 214 games, following by former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez.
Mourinho breaks the record with 29 games to spare, and has a clean sheet ratio of 54 per cent, 10 per cent better than his nearest rival Benitez.
And Mourinho’s Chelsea teams average just .63 goals against them per game, beating, once again, Benitez to first place.
Hat-tip Premier League.
