In case you hadn’t noticed, José Mourinho is under a bit of pressure at Manchester United.
Victory over Northampton Town in the EFL Cup may have ended a run of three straight defeats, but that is unlikely to matter if the Red Devils lose to Premier League champions Leicester City in Saturday’s early kick-off.
And Mourinho has hit out at ‘football experts’ in his programme notes, accusing those in the media of quickly changing their tune after ‘a bad week’.
‘Two weeks ago we were a top club, a top team with top players and a top manager, but in the space of one week the ‘football experts’ changed their opinion,’ the former Chelsea boss writes.
He suggests there is added pressure on his players after ‘cruel comments’, and says fans ‘must’ create a positive atmosphere for the visit of the Foxes.

In the light of the manner in which Mourinho was thought to have lost the Chelsea dressing room last season, and in the context of recent leaks to the press, some have suggested the programme notes are the first sign of cracks appearing in his armour.
There is an argument that the hyperbolic praise directed at the Old Trafford club after three wins from their first three league games makes the following negativity seem similarly exaggerated, but others have used the latest comments as evidence of Mourinho feeling the pressure already.
Bizarre programme notes from Mourinho, Leicester can have them on the counter attack #LeicesterCity win for football!

Interesting that Mou talks of the "boys needing support" given unusual public criticising. Advice to himself possibly?
