Jose Mourinho continues to have some concerns about his players’ use of social media.
It has emerged that the reason for his now-infamous training ground exchange with Paul Pogba stemmed from an Instagram post from the French midfielder during Manchester United’s Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Derby County in September.
And now Mourinho sounds rather vexed by a post from Antonio Valencia earlier this week.
Valencia has not featured for United in a month after picking up an injury but he hinted that he was fit in an Instagram video in which he was doing weight training at Carrington on Thursday morning.
Just a few weeks after the Ecuadorian right-back was forced to apologise for liking an Instagram post demanding for Mourinho to be sacked, Valencia has been advised to be more specific on social media by his manager.

After ruling Valencia out of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth, Mourinho offered some clarity on the 33-year-old’s situation.
“Antonio Valencia? I watched something funny in his Instagram where he says ‘work work work’ in the gym,” Mourinho said. “He should say ‘work work work alone because I am injured and I cannot train with the team’.
“So the reason why he was in the gym was because he was injured and he couldn’t train with the team. So I think it looked like he was working really, really hard and he was. But without the ball and without the team, so you can imagine that he is not selected because he is not ready.
“Apart from Antonio, Fellaini and Dalot [are out], Jesse and Alexis are in a much better position because last week was an effort for them to be available for the team, but now is a different story and Alexis and Lingard, after one good week, they are ready to play.”
