Chelsea club doctor Eva Carneiro has been informed that she will no longer be part of Chelsea’s pitchside backroom staff, according to reports in the Telegraph
Carneiro has been a fixture on the Chelsea bench but was harshly criticised by manager Jose Mourinho for attending to Eden Hazard after the player went down injured during stoppage time of Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Swansea.
Mourinho labelled his medical team, led by Carneiro, ‘naive’ and questioned whether they ‘understood the game’ and it is therefore unlikely that the decision to remove the doctor from all matchday operations and training sessions is simply a coincidence.

She will remain in her position of first-team doctor, but will now be restricted to working with players at the club’s Cobham training facility.
Carneiro has received substantial support from football fans and on social media since her public dressing-down and took to Facebook on Sunday to give thanks for the support.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s attempts to have Thibaut Courtois’ red card against Swansea have been unsuccessful, meaning the goalkeeper will miss the champions’ trip to Manchester City on Sunday.
