Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho lives to fight another day.
The embattled red devils boss looked set for a fifth consecutive match without a win against Newcastle United on Saturday but a late Alexis Sanchez header saved his blushes and put an end to a miserable couple of weeks for Mourinho and his players.
Newcastle struck twice inside the first 10 minutes to give Rafael Benitez’s side an early lead before a second-half free-kick from Juan Mata acted as a a catalyst for change with Anthony Martial and Sanchez both tagging on late goals to complete a remarkable 3-2 comeback at Old Trafford.
It was a vital win for Mourinho who faces increasing pressure to hold on to his job as manager but after the victory he accused midfielder Scott McTominay of acting scared on the pitch during the first-half while he felt that forward Marcus Rashford was sad.
"This is not about me or the players…this is about the club."
"I am 55 years old and this is the first man hunt I have seen in football." 👀
"If it rains in London it is my fault. A bad Brexit deal is my fault."

“Marcus Rashford was sad on the pitch, Scott McTominay was scared on the pitch. Even older players commit mistakes that are not normal,” Mourinho told broadcasters BT Sport.
“At half-time we had a good conversation. We didn’t promise that we would win the match. We promised we would give absolutely everything without any fear, without any pressure, just the pressure of giving everything and of course they gave everything.
“We fought so much. They deserve even if game ends 2-2. The feeling would be a positive feeling because nobody can promise to win matches.”
Mourinho also added that he thinks the clamour surrounding his job is too much and that he can be blamed for everything from the weather to Brexit.
“As a friend of mine was saying to me this morning, if tomorrow it rains in London it is my fault.
“If there is some difficulties with the agreements of Brexit, it is my fault.
“I have to be ready for all of this. I think a lot of wickedness and clear man-hunting, in football is too much. It is my life. It is life I love and since I was kid I work for this.”
