Jonathan Walters will never have to buy a pint in Ireland again.
The Stoke forward scored twice tonight for Ireland to beat Bosnia 2-0 and see us through to the European Championships in France next summer thanks to a 3-1 aggregate win.
The striker was missing from the first leg, but scored a penalty, and a technically superb second, to ensure we’ll be living it up in France next summer for a few weeks at least.
He rarely falters. Brilliant stuff from Walters. Almost there.
