Terry’s never afraid to voice his opinion.
John Terry has taken to Twitter to retweet an opinion that criticised former Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez.
Benitez took charge on an interim basis during the 2012-13 season but was largely ostracised by the fanbase due to his previous connections with rivals, Liverpool.

During the Spaniard’s brief time in West London, Chelsea won the Europa League with a 2-1 win over Benfica and secured qualification for the Champions League.
But just like some Chelsea fans, it seems he isn’t so fondly remembered by some players either with the account highlighting a time when Benitez described Terry as “too old.”
Terry retweeted a post on his account which said: “Throwback to when Rafa Benitez said John Terry was too old to play 90 minutes.

“Mourinho came the following season and made Terry to play every single minute of the whole season. They won the premier league together for the third time.”
It’s not the first time Terry has publicly criticised Benitez, claiming in an interview with the Daily Mail in 2020 that he ‘never got on from day one’ with the now-Everton manager.
“It was tough, I have to be honest. When he first came, I was really looking forward to working with Rafa initially,” he said.
“The supporters never took to him and wanted him out from day one. You could say he was quite successful, we won the Europa League under him of course, but for me personally, you want to develop and learn.
“I’d seen tactically how he’d set up against us previously. You give everyone a fair chance and it’s down to them to prove to you otherwise, but we just didn’t get on from day one.”
Terry also previously recalled that he even used to have to speak to Benitez due to his constant comparison of the Chelsea team to his former Champions League-winning Liverpool side.
He said: “Every meeting we had it was, ‘We used to do this at Liverpool.’
“I had to have a few conversations with him and say, ‘Gaffer, you have to forget Liverpool, you can’t keep saying we this, we that, you’re at Chelsea now, it’s not going down well with the lads.'”
Terry has recently returned to his boyhood club, working in a role with the academy levels at Chelsea’s training ground Cobham.
