Terry took to his new Twitter account to claim Rice was the best midfielder in the world
John Terry has claimed that Declan Rice is the best midfielder in the world after West Ham United’s 3-2 win against Liverpool on Sunday.
Terry joined Twitter yesterday and was extremely busy on his first day on the platform, liking, retweeting and commenting on every mention, but wanted to reserve special praise for Rice.
The 22-year-old was instrumental in West Ham’s win at the London Stadium as he delivered a captain’s performance yet again to take David Moyes’ side to third in the table.

And the former Chelsea and England captain, who was also known for his leadership on the pitch was quick to give Rice plaudits for his display, retweeting the midfielder’s tweet with the caption: “Declan[d] Rice is the best in his position in world football. What a player”

Whilst this was a nice and wholehearted message to a truly talented player, there are other users of the platform who haven’t been as fortunate to receive some kind words from Terry.
In his first 24 hours using Twitter, he’s caused quite the storm. From insulting people’s mums to persistently reminding everyone how good he was in his playing days, he’s not kept a low profile that’s for sure.
At first, there were many who didn’t originally believe even Terry would say such things online, but he quashed those thoughts by revealing himself on the platform with a video saying: “Good morning Twitter.
“Yes, this is me, this is my official account. I’m going to be getting my blue tick at some point this week.

“Happy Sunday, I’m just about to do a 10k run.”
If we’re judging how his first day on Twitter went, there will no doubt be plenty of John Terry content to come for a long time yet.
