John Aldridge thinks selling Raheem Sterling is a no-brainer for the club

The only Aldo we really care about

That’s how John Aldridge feels Liverpool should be looking at any possible deal to sell off Raheem Sterling to Manchester City.

The former Liverpool striker has taken to his social media account on Kicca to proclaim the following.

Aldo clearly thinks that the young winger who made an impression at the latter end of the season is a more than capable replacement for Liverpool’s second highest goalscorer this season.

Aldo also thinks the teenager may have more brainpower than the former QPR man, who’s refusing to sign a new contract at Anfield

‘Sterling is obviously too young to think for himself so his agent has been doing his thinking for him.

‘For the sake of Liverpool Football Club they should take the millions on offer and then everybody will be better off.’

‘Raheem is obviously a hugely talented player but Liverpool have a top replacement in Jordan Ibe.

‘I’ve been watching Jordan play since he was 15. He’s a terrific player and has bags of potential.

‘In fact I think he’s got as much if not more potential than Raheem and will go on to be a better player.

‘On top of that, he’s a big strong lad who is very direct with a great shot on him.’

Ah the classic big strong lad.

Basically a younger version of Emile Heskey or a slightly quicker version of Titi Camara.

Liverpool have slapped a £50million price tag on the player while the English international is believed to be looking to rake in an astonishing £200k a week if he does get his wish and leave Anfield for the Etihad.

Aldridge wishes Sterling the best of luck and is hoping the door doesn’t hit his backside on the way out of the club,

‘Raheem will be a bit richer and Liverpool will be rid of a player who doesn’t want to play for the club. It’s a win-win.

‘Manchester City are a big club and Raheem will get paid well and play Champions League football so he will be happy.

‘And life at Anfield will go on without him because he’s certainly not bigger than the club.’
