Javier Hernandez’s parting words after Manchester United exit were a little depressing

Poor Chicharito

The pariah of van Gaal’s Old Trafford has found a new home, and he is glad it is one that is more appreciative of his talents.

Javier Hernandez was immediately removed from Louis van Gaal’s plans when he took over as manager of Manchester United. The Dutch boss sent the striker out on loan to Real Madrid for a season as soon as he took charge at Old Trafford.

After a lacklustre year in La Liga, the Mexican sharpshooter returned but then was told by LVG that if he wanted to play football, he should go somewhere else.

Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen answered Chicharito’s call and snapped him up until 2018. Hernandez revealed his delight at the deal, although he was pretty down about how his career at Old Trafford played out.

“I want to go back to feeling important and happy. I want to find happiness.”

“Bayer made me feel important and loved and coming here was not a difficult decision to make. They made me feel wanted.”

“I hope to accomplish things in my head and in my heart.”

Pull yourself together, Javier. Everything’s going to be alright.
