The internet has reacted brilliantly to Jamie Vardy’s latest hi-jinks

It was all a little bit tense as the final whistle approached at the King Power Stadium.

With Leicester leading Southampton by Wes Morgan’s first half goal, five minutes stoppage time was signalled by the fourth official, guaranteeing a nervy finish for the majority of those in the stadium.

Jamie Vardy, however, was far from flustered – and decided it was the perfect time to lighten the anxious atmosphere.

Fresh from two goals in two internationals, Vardy chased down Charlie Austin close to the Southampton goal line…

Seemingly amused by the ease with which his opponent fell to the ground, Vardy produced his own Louis van Gaal- style theatrical dive in front of the referee.
