Monday Night Football won’t be the same without him.
The football world was taken a little off guard on Wednesday morning with the announcement that Gary Neville had been confirmed as the new manager of Valencia CF.
The ex-Manchester United player will be beginning his management career in La Liga this week which means that he will no longer be able to work as an analyst on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.
His MNF partner in crime, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher may have had the best tweet of the day regarding Neville’s departure from the programme.
Gutted! This reminds me of when Pegguy Arphexad left for Coventry.

For those of you who don’t know, Pegguy Aphexad played three seasons for Liverpool in the early noughties during a period in which the club won two League Cups, an FA Cup, a UEFA Cup and a UEFA Supercup.
Before leaving for Coventry, the goalkeeper played the grand total of two games for the Reds.
