A terrible day for Liverpool was a slightly less terrible for Reds legend Jamie Carragher.
Liverpool fans sank into despair as they suffered a surprising 2-0 defeat to Newcastle to see their good run of league form end and their momentum come crashing to a screeching halt.
The supporters gave out about Christian Benteke, Albert Moreno was annoyed by the referee’s performance, but Carragher certainly had no intention of complaining about Martin Skrtel’s own goal, which opened the scoring for the home side.
Carragher saw the defender turning the ball into his own net and getting once step closer to Richard Dunne’s record as the only positive of the game.
