James Milner is anything but boring
The Liverpool midfielder developed a reputation of being ‘boring’ over his long and successful career, purely down to his no-nonsense style of play. He’s a grafter, he doesn’t seek the limelight and he has a very plain hairstyle.
However, with the benefit of social media, James Milner is slowly changing that reputation, one funny tweet at a time.
This time it was a reference to a comment Jurgen Klopp made about his ‘landlord’, Brendan Rodgers, needing to fix some things in his house (Klopp moved into Rodgers’ house when he was appointed Liverpool manager).
Ahead of a charity match between Celtic and Liverpool today, which raised money for three beneficiary charities, Klopp said:
“It’ll be fun, especially because I meet my landlord, I think for the first time since he left Liverpool and I came here. We have a lot of things to talk about. The plumbing issue, electricity, the pool and stuff like that. So Brendan, hope you are in good shape and we can sort a few things that day.”
The game finished 3-3 and raised a tonne of money for the Celtic FC Foundation, the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation and the James Milner Foundation.
Milner then tweeted a picture of himself with his old manager Brendan Rodgers after the game, captioned ‘“So, I’m gonna put his rent up and not fix those taps…”

Keep these bangers coming, James, and you might get a new parody account on Twitter.
