Quite the headline, we’re sure you’ll agree.
This is a big deal though. Let’s not even try to pretend it’s not. We make no apologies…
Yep, not only are Liverpool Football Club potentially 90 minutes away from their sixth European Cup, but Ribena is trending on Twitter. And all because of Mr James Philip Milner.
Speaking to BT Sport’s Des Kelly moments after Liverpool’s 7-6 aggregate win was confirmed, he was asked if he would be celebrating their victory with a glass of the local red wine. He would not, he appeared to confirm, instead preferring to toast their success with a glass of the blackcurrant-based soft drink.
“I might stretch myself out to some Ribena or something,” he said. Here, look…
Glass of red tonight, @JamesMilner?
"I might stretch myself to a Ribena!"

And that was all it took. A flurry of tweets on Milner’s comments soon followed, enough to see Ribena trending on Twitter, right next to Milner’s name. Lovely stuff.
Milner had himself posed the biggest threat to his own team’s goal in the first half. He was powerless to prevent the ball finding the back of Loris Karius’ net via his face for Roma’s first equaliser of the evening. Before half-time, he also deflected a long-range effort on to a post.
Tweeting after the match, he did manage to see the funny side to his own goal.
Anyone got any tips for getting a Champions League logo off a face? #glowing #uclfinal #whofancieskiev #9assists #minusonegoal pic.twitter.com/niNoXBtJPv
