There was only one place James McClean was going to be on Tuesday night.
The West Brom winger took a break from Republic of Ireland duty, ahead of their friendly against Oman, and chose to spend the night cheering on his old team in Tallaght.
Derry City took on Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland Premier Division clash in Dublin, and McClean was there to show his support for his hometown team.
McClean was even sound enough to pose for a photo with Rovers’ mascot Hooperman. McClean is on the left.

The 27-year-old played for his hometown team for three years, making 79 appearances, before moving to Sunderland in 2011. McClean has since played for Wigan and West Brom, but there’s no doubt where his club loyalties lie.
