James McClean perfectly shuts down troll who called Irishman a ‘scumbag’ after late equaliser

Subs to be you

James McClean had a very eventful night at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.

The Ireland international was in the thick of the action as his West Brom side secured a point against Chelsea in a 2-2 draw.

The game was a very ill-tempered affair as tensions between the sides looked like boiling over several times, as Diego Costa did his best pantomime villain act once again.

And the ex-Wigan man was also in the wars as he had a heated confrontation with Thibaut Courtois.

Some Chelsea fans were hoping the Belgian would have the last laugh

But the Derryman enjoyed the better end to the game as his scruffy daisy-cutter of a shot from just inside the penalty box sneaked into the net to give the Baggies a share of the spoils

The goal capped an impressive performance for the Irishman

But it seems he cost at least one football fan a lot of money with his last minute strike

And the Irishman had the perfect response, offering a sub to help poor Steven over the hump until payday
