If there are two men who aren’t going to be exchanging Christmas cards this year it’s James McClean and Jurgen Klopp.
McClean has revealed that he’s not part of Kloppmania which seems to be sweeping the Premier League and has branded the Liverpool manager an “idiot.”
The winger was speaking three days after the Reds’ 2-2 draw with West Brom that ended with Klopp not shaking hands with Baggies boss Tony Pulis.
“Usually I shake hands, today I did not,” Klopp said afterwards. “It was not a friendly game, everybody saw it. I wish him [Pulis] all the best.”
Klopp was not happy with a Craig Gardner challenge on Dejan Lovren in the Premier League tie which resulted in the Liverpool defender being stretchered off.
And McClean has since come out in condemnation of the German.
“Obviously, look I have got respect for the man because he did a great job at Dortmund and that,” McClean told BBC West Midlands
“But I think he is a bit of an idiot if I am being honest.
“On the game on Sunday you can’t act that way. Win, lose or draw you have got to be respectful.”
