It’s that time of the year again.
For the fourth year running James McClean has decided not to wear a Remembrance Day poppy, and once again his decision has proved unpopular with some.
The Derry winger once again explained his stance, this time in a letter to West Brom fans a few weeks ago, and today lined up for his side against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
McClean, the only player without a poppy on his jersey, observed the minute’s silence like the rest of the players and fans in the stadium, but was reportedly booed by some of the 75,000 or so fans in attendance when he went to take a corner during the first-half.Both Eurosport and The Daily Telegraph reported the booing.

have also hurled out vile sectarian abuse at the modern day Irish rebel hero. Never have I been so ashamed to say that I support #MUFC (2/2)
