Sligo Rovers took a shock lead against defending League of Ireland champions Dundalk on Friday night when midfielder Jack Keaney smashed home a long range free-kick.
Keaney rifled in a low shot from distance to give Sligo the lead just before half-time before Sean Murray equalised for the lilywhites just minutes after the restart.
What a strike from Keaney! 🙌@sligorovers lead at @DundalkFC thanks to this fantastic free-kick from Keaney, what a way to start the season! 👏👏

Dundalk have been quite active over the off-season and have signed both Dylan Hand and Cameron Dummigan from Oldham Athletic on a long-term contract.
The Northern Ireland youth international joins the club after a stint with the Owls and added that he’s familiar with some of the current squad at Oriel Park.
“I am delighted to be here. Once I heard that Dundalk were interested I wanted to get it done,” he told the club’s website.
“I am pleased to get the deal over the line. I have known about the club for the past few years and I am keen to be part of the group.
“It helps knowing a few players in the group. I played with Patrick McEleney and Michael Duffy before. It’s always good.
“I will get to know everyone quickly and I can’t wait to get started.”
