“What have I done? Why are you shouting?”
Liverpool experienced a very frustrating draw against Sevilla on Wednesday night. In their first Champions League match for almost three years, Liverpool drew 2-2 with the Spanish side, and arguably threw away the chance to gain three points.
Jurgen Klopp’s side went behind after just five minutes. Dejan Lovren failed to clear a pass across Liverpool’s penalty area, and Wissam Ben Yedder scored at the back-post.
The home side equalised through Roberto Firmino and then took the lead from Mo Salah’s deflected shot. They looked to be on their way to a victory when Firmino stepped-up to take a penalty just before half-time.

However, the Brazilian missed his spot-kick, and Liverpool, despite having a glut of efforts on goal, failed to score a third. Joaquin Correa equalised with 20 minutes remaining, and even Philippe Coutinho, making his first appearance of the season as a second-half substitute, couldn’t help them find a winner.
In the second-half, Sevilla coach Eduardo Berizzo was sent to the stands for throwing the match ball down the touchline, and appeared to accuse Klopp of being responsible for the referee’s decision. Immediately following the final whistle, there was then a disagreement between Klopp and members of the Sevilla coaching staff.
“Why are you shouting at me? What did I do?” the Liverpool manager could be heard shouting.
