Eamon Dunphy just can’t catch a break can he?
The much maligned pundit was in the company of Dietmar Hamann, Richie Sadlier and host, Darragh Maloney, as they previewed the Champions League Round of 16 clash between Bayern Munich and Arsenal at the Allianz Arena.
Dunphy, of course, splits opinion on these shores when it comes to his views and analysis of our beloved game.
Some respect the man for saying it as it is, while others view his outbursts as outdated or meer attention seeking.
Whatever your opinion, there was a chance to see Dunphy in a whole new environment this evening as RTE unveiled their new toy, a Sky Sports-esque touchscreen with all the various accompanying buttons and tools to attempt to give viewers a greater insight into the depths of football analysis.

Now there are a few things which strike you about the above image.
Dunphy’s perceived disdain when it comes to the new touch-screen, his height relative to his much taller colleagues and just what the hell are the RTÉ panel doing with this new fancy technology?
And of course, viewers took to Twitter to quickly point these out.

Sadlier, Dunphy and Hamann are way out of their comfort zone here at the tactical board 😂 #RTESoccer #ChampionsLeague

Perhaps we should give the lads the benefit of the doubt and give them time to get used to their new toy.
