Irish fans may only have a small number of tickets for the Bosnia away game

A tough trip for Irish fans

Robert Redmond

This is definitely one for the hardcore fans.

The Republic of Ireland will play the first leg of their Euro 2016 play-off away to Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zenica on Friday November 13th.

The game is due to be played at the Bilino Polje stadium, which has a capacity of 15,600, and there are fears that the Bosnian FA will allocate the minimum ticket allowance for travelling fans.

If this were to happen there could only be 780 Irish fans at the game, five percent of the total attendance.

Regardless of the number of Irish fans in Zenica next month, we’re sure they’ll make plenty of noise supporting their team. And there’s no doubt the return leg three days later will be played in front of a sold-out Aviva Stadium.
