The date and venue for the Republic of Ireland’s fourth and final pre-Euro 2016 friendly has been confirmed.
After last Friday’s 1-0 victory over Switzerland, Ireland host Slovakia at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday night before the players return to club action.
A third friendly takes place on Friday, May 27, also at the Aviva, against the Netherlands before the team head south for a training camp in Cork’s Fota Island Resort.
And it was confirmed on Monday that Ireland would indeed have time to cram in another friendly before they set sail for France, with a tie against Belarus scheduled for the second day of training camp.
The game takes place on Tuesday, May 31, at Cork City’s Turners Cross and will be the first time that Ireland have ever faced Belarus.
