We’re always excited to see talented Irish players coming through and it looks as though the U15s have a gem on their hands.
Shamrock Rovers prospect Sami Clarke showcased some excellent goals as he scored an eye-catching solo goal for the Ireland U15s during their 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic.
With Ireland trailing 1-0 at the FAI National Training Centre, Clarke hit back ion superb fashion, evading challenges before burying the ball in the bottom corner.
As you can see in the video below, Clarke looks cornered. It doesn’t look a promising situation but, thanks to a low centre of gravity, the attacker gleefully runs a ring around the first Czech defender, before skipping past the second to reach the by-line. There, he meets the original opponent and beats him again, cutting back onto his left foot and finishing confidently into the far corner.

An impressive strike, for sure, and one which will certainly encourage us to keep an eye out for Clarke in the future.
