The Republic of Ireland’s squad for next month’s Uefa Nations League fixture has been named.
Martin O’Neill selected a provisional squad for the September games. Ireland will play Wales in Cardiff on September 6 in their first Nations League tie, before travelling to Wroclaw to play Poland in a friendly on September 11.
O’Neill announced his squad on Monday at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. There is no sign of Declan Rice, who has made three appearances for Ireland. The West Ham defender is eligible to play for his native England, and O’Neill said he would hold talks with him over the weekend about his international future.
