It didn’t take long for him to impress in training.
Exciting u21 talent Andrew Moran has been drafted into the Republic of Ireland senior squad for their dead rubber game against the Netherlands this Saturday.
Moran has been banging on the door now for a while, gaining a lot of momentum with brilliant performances for the U21 side, and Blackburn Rovers where he is currently playing on loan.
Goals, assists, creativity, and a brilliant engine, the young midfielder is an exciting prospects and will no doubt rejoin Brighton after his loan spell, and hopefully follow in the footsteps of his club and International teammate, Evan Ferguson.
It didn’t take long for the youngster to impress in training as he managed to score a very slick goal that is hopefully a sign of things to come. He picked the ball up on the right flank, feinted like he was going to shoot, but instead turns inside, before then rolling it back out into space and burying it not the roof of the net.
Obviously you can’t read too much into small clips of training sessions, but everyone has seen enough of this young man to at least get excited and this Saturday could be the first time that we see him in action at international level.

There are several injury concerns heading into this weekend’s game with Evan Ferguson, Chiedozie Ogbene, Jamie McGrath and Will Smallbone all rumoured to be carrying a knock or a niggle.
Nothing official has been confirmed however, and some players are still waiting to hear back on scans before any final decisions are made.
In a social media update, the FAI said: “As we await scan results on a number of players, Andrew Moran has been called up to the senior squad and will train with the squad today.”
