Ireland’s starting XI has been announced.
Stephen Kenny has named his Republic of Ireland starting XI ahead of their Uefa Nations League clash against Armenia at the National Stadium in Yerevan.
The Boys in Green are in search of their first win in the Nations League, on the 11th attempt, having drawn five and lost five since the competition began in 2018.
Ireland team news.
Kenny made three changes from the side that drew 2-2 against Belgium at the Aviva Stadium in March.
Caoimhin Kelleher retains his place in goal for the Boys in Green on the back of the March international friendlies. Gavin Bazunu drops to the bench due to a niggling back injury.
Enda Stevens comes back into Kenny’s side for the first time since October in the place of James McClean at left-wing-back.
Seamus Coleman starts at right-wing-back due to Matt Doherty rupturing his medial collateral ligament in April. Nathan Collins fills the void left by Coleman in the back-three.
The final change has Troy Parrott playing in the place of Jason Knight, the Dubliner has been rewarded with a start as a result of his 97th-minute winner against Lithuania in March.
