They missed a great opportunity to use an ‘Intergram’ pun…
Inter Milan face Cagilari at the San Siro tonight, in a Serie A fixture that could see the hosts jump into the top four ahead of Lazio.
It’s a pretty run of the mill league game, unlikely to throw up any huge shocks, except for the fact that the kits are a bit different. Instead of displaying the players’ names, the Inter players’ jerseys will have their Instagram handles printed on the back.

This – thankfully temporary – change is part of the #InterSocialNight, whatever that is.
I think we can all agree that this is a step too far, and that the game is well and truly gone. That’s certainly what the Twittersphere thinks anyway.

You have to feel for the referee, too, whose job will be made a bit harder tonight when he has to write down the names of the players he is cautioning.
What is next? Their squad numbers being replaced with how many thousand followers they have? It wouldn’t be a surprise.
This is just the beginning. The beautiful game we all knew and loved is being destroyed, and Instagram handles on shirts is just the start.
