United are holding out for £15m.
Inter Milan have agreed personal terms with Alexis Sanchez for a permanent move according to mediaset. Sánchez has spent the (long, extended) second half of the season with the San Siro side, on loan from Manchester United, and has his mind set on staying there.
His form has drastically improved since joining Antonio Conte’s side, scoring three times since the restart, and it’s starting to look like a move that would suit all parties involved.
The contract that has supposedly been agreed between Inter and Sanchez would last until 2023, while his current deal at United runs out in 2022. However, the Chilean would have to take a significant pay cut, and would no longer earn the £12m a year he gets from his current deal, a large proportion of which is still paid by Manchester United.
The only stumbling block now is the transfer fee. United will supposedly accept no less than £15m for the 31-year-old, and some reports indicate they are even keen to give him another chance to prove himself at Old Trafford.
Sanchez is not interesting in returning to Manchester, demonstrated by his willingness to take a pay cut to stay at Inter.
It now looks almost certain that the winger will secure a permanent move to the Nerazzuri this summer and United will finally get his huge wage bill off the books.
