Injuries force Jurgen Klopp and Ronald Koeman to make changes for Merseyside derby

Jurgen Klopp typically brings his A-game for the bigger matches in the Premier League and they don’t come much more significant for Liverpool fans than the Merseyside derby.

We all know that Ronald Koeman isn’t in exactly cheery form, given his ongoing dispute with Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill.

So expect plenty of energy in the dugouts, and even more so on the pitch.

Both managers have had injuries to key players to contend with ahead of today’s lunchtime kick-off.

Klopp is without Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson so he has had to tinker with his midfield, bringing in Lucas , and he’s selected the below XI for one of the Reds’ most anticipated games of the season.

The Everton boss, meanwhile, has been forced to plan for life without Seamus Coleman, who suffered a season-ending injury while on international duty for the Republic of Ireland.
